Guest Post: Watch Out! This Shark Party Will Bite Ya!!

Hello Lovelies! We are so excited here at B. Lovely Events to be guest posting today on the Home Seasons Blog. As summer is almost coming to a close we wanted to enjoy the last days of sunshine by showing you one of our favorite trends this summer…a shark party! With the ever growing popularity of shark week, shark themed parties started popping up everywhere and we must say we are quite smitten for this theme for a summer pool party. Whether it is a birthday party for a youngster or for the more mature and wise or just a party to enjoy the water and sunshine, Shark parties always pack a bite of loveliness. We love shark parties because even though they may be one of the most dangerous creatures in the water, at parties, their faces are just too darn cute on everything! Happy Labor Day from HomeSeasons.com!

blog1

We’re a little early to the celebration, but HomeSeasons.com would like to wish everyone a Happy Labor Day! We want everyone to get started on Labor Day weekend (LDW) right, so we’re going send our best wishes to you starting today!

But before we start enjoying our weekend, let’s  remember the meaning behind Labor Day. Every year, on the first Monday in September, we celebrate the hard work and achievements of the workers of America. All our hard work, past and present, has contributed to the welfare of our country. This national holiday rewards many of us with a day off of work.

So to everyone celebrating a 3 day weekend for Labor Day, don’t forget the meaning behind it! We hope everyone will enjoy a great LDW, and we’ll be back next week to start off Halloween and Fall themed ideas!

We’ve been a fan of tea parties since we were young. This may have a little something to do with watching Alice in Wonderland on repeat, but who knows! Spring and summer are the perfect seasons to host a tea party in the outdoors with all the flowers in bloom.

Since we still have a month left of summer, we’re going to share some of our favorite tea party ideas to inspire you to have your own before fall begins. Get ready for whimsy and pretty overload!

Chalk It Up – Chalkboard Themed Back to School Ideas

We’re reaching the end of our back to school themed posts! Though we’re sad that we’re going to have to wait a whole year to blog more about back to school, we’re still excited to share a few more ideas with everyone before we pack away our school supplies.

Back in elementary school, I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up because I loved drawing on the chalkboard. Fast forward (many, many) years later, and the obsession is still ever so present. There’s just something about the chalkboard that brings back so many memories! So in today’s post, we’re dedicating it to chalkboard themed ideas that are perfect for back to school!

Paper Pom Pom Party Inspirations

If you’ve been reading our blog for a while, you would know that we like our fair share of DIY projects for party and home decor. Not only does it help save money in your piggy banks, but you can also customize it to fit any decor theme.

One DIY item that looks impressive but is super easy to make is the paper pom pom ball. All you need to make them are tissue paper, string, and a pair of scissors (and there are countless tutorials online to teach you how to make them)!

Since there are so many great tutorials out there teaching how to make paper pom poms, we’ll leave that to the crafting professionals! Instead, we’re going to share with you some impressive decorating ideas using these affordable, DIY paper pom poms.

Back to School: Creative Lunches & Bento Boxes (Part 2)

Can you believe it? Almost exactly to this day a year ago (just one day off, but who’s really counting!), we posted some fun lunch and bento box ideas for back to school (check out the post here). We’re back with a part 2 because that post was just so fun to write, and so many more lunch ideas have surfaced that we just had to share them!

For those of you that are not familiar with bento box lunches, let’s do a little bit of a recap from last year:

This creative way of lunching comes straight to us from Japan, and is now seen in many countries (and cafeterias around the globe). Many Japanese children bring elaborately decorated lunches (known as bento boxes) to school.

Without further ado, here are some fun lunch and bento box ideas for 2013 back to school!
