Happy Labor Day from HomeSeasons.com!

blog1

We’re a little early to the celebration, but HomeSeasons.com would like to wish everyone a Happy Labor Day! We want everyone to get started on Labor Day weekend (LDW) right, so we’re going send our best wishes to you starting today!

But before we start enjoying our weekend, let’s  remember the meaning behind Labor Day. Every year, on the first Monday in September, we celebrate the hard work and achievements of the workers of America. All our hard work, past and present, has contributed to the welfare of our country. This national holiday rewards many of us with a day off of work.

So to everyone celebrating a 3 day weekend for Labor Day, don’t forget the meaning behind it! We hope everyone will enjoy a great LDW, and we’ll be back next week to start off Halloween and Fall themed ideas!

Chalk It Up – Chalkboard Themed Back to School Ideas

We’re reaching the end of our back to school themed posts! Though we’re sad that we’re going to have to wait a whole year to blog more about back to school, we’re still excited to share a few more ideas with everyone before we pack away our school supplies.

Back in elementary school, I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up because I loved drawing on the chalkboard. Fast forward (many, many) years later, and the obsession is still ever so present. There’s just something about the chalkboard that brings back so many memories! So in today’s post, we’re dedicating it to chalkboard themed ideas that are perfect for back to school!

Back to School: Creative Lunches & Bento Boxes (Part 2)

Can you believe it? Almost exactly to this day a year ago (just one day off, but who’s really counting!), we posted some fun lunch and bento box ideas for back to school (check out the post here). We’re back with a part 2 because that post was just so fun to write, and so many more lunch ideas have surfaced that we just had to share them!

For those of you that are not familiar with bento box lunches, let’s do a little bit of a recap from last year:

This creative way of lunching comes straight to us from Japan, and is now seen in many countries (and cafeterias around the globe). Many Japanese children bring elaborately decorated lunches (known as bento boxes) to school.

Without further ado, here are some fun lunch and bento box ideas for 2013 back to school!

We know what you all are wondering: “Beach teddy?!” Isn’t it beach bunny??” Well, these treats are made with yummy teddy crackers and gummies, made to look like they’re lounging on a beach! Keep reading to get inspired to make your own before the end of summer!
