Spring is many a splendored thing. As much as we love it for it’s beautiful blooms and lovely weather, there is a minor downside that we dread when the spring season rolls around: the spring allergy.
Many of us suffer from spring allergies, and it can oftentimes put a damper on our day. While everyone is out enjoying the sunshine and flowers, you’re off to the corner sneezing your eyes out! Not exactly how we imagined we’d be spending our day in the sun. In today’s post, we’re going to share with everyone a few ways that can help combat the spring allergy!

Cover up –
Wearing sunglasses is a great way to prevent the pollen from getting into your eyes. Not to mention, it also protects your eyes from the harmful UV rays.
Dust off –
Before heading indoors, give your clothing and hair a little shake outdoors to prevent from bringing the pollen inside.
Stay inside in the morning –
Pollen levels are especially high during the mornings. Though this is a popular time for many people to exercise outside, spring allergy sufferers are recommended to exercise indoors whenever possible, especially in the morning.
There are many more ways to help combat spring allergies, but these three tips are simple enough for you to do everyday without much effort or thought. We hope everyone will continue to have a great spring! Don’t like spring allergies put a damper on your day!
As we’ve mentioned before, when spring starts, we all start heading outdoors. While it may all be fun and games, outdoor activities require more preparation. Hydration and sun protection are a must, but what else should we bring?
If you’re going to be spending long hours away from home, it’s always a good idea to also pack a little something to eat. One of our favorite snacks to bring is trail mix. They are usually a mix of sweet and savory–a quick pick-me-up for any type of mood. It’s a lot more affordable to make your own trail mix instead of buying store bought ones.

Don’t know what to put in your own homemade trail mix? Here are a few ideas:
- sunflower seeds
- coconut flakes
- banana chips
- mini chocolate chips
- dried cherries
- pumpkin seeds
- ground cinnamon (for flavor)
Toss them all in a reusable box or sandwichbag, and you have your own trail mix, perfect for on the go activities. The perfect thing about trail mix is you can customize to your liking. Don’t like almonds? Substitute it with another type of nut! Just be sure to get a good mix in!
