Guest Post: Watch Out! This Shark Party Will Bite Ya!!

Hello Lovelies! We are so excited here at B. Lovely Events to be guest posting today on the Home Seasons Blog. As summer is almost coming to a close we wanted to enjoy the last days of sunshine by showing you one of our favorite trends this summer…a shark party! With the ever growing popularity of shark week, shark themed parties started popping up everywhere and we must say we are quite smitten for this theme for a summer pool party. Whether it is a birthday party for a youngster or for the more mature and wise or just a party to enjoy the water and sunshine, Shark parties always pack a bite of loveliness. We love shark parties because even though they may be one of the most dangerous creatures in the water, at parties, their faces are just too darn cute on everything! How could you be scared of a smiling shark cake pop?! We will show you exactly what we mean with our round up of all of our favorite shark pool party ideas!

Labor Day White Party Ideas

Labor Day is 5 days away, marking the (non official) end of summer! For those of us living in the United States,  I’m sure we’ve heard variations of the phrase “no wearing white after Labor Day”. Though it is unclear where this phrase originated or why, we still hear it every Labor Day.

So to celebrate the last weekend of white for summer, we’re going to share our favorite all white party decor ideas. This is perfect for Labor Day weekend, or anytime of the year! Pair it up with an all white outfit for a Labor Day to remember!

We’ve been a fan of tea parties since we were young. This may have a little something to do with watching Alice in Wonderland on repeat, but who knows! Spring and summer are the perfect seasons to host a tea party in the outdoors with all the flowers in bloom.

Since we still have a month left of summer, we’re going to share some of our favorite tea party ideas to inspire you to have your own before fall begins. Get ready for whimsy and pretty overload!

Chalk It Up – Chalkboard Themed Back to School Ideas

We’re reaching the end of our back to school themed posts! Though we’re sad that we’re going to have to wait a whole year to blog more about back to school, we’re still excited to share a few more ideas with everyone before we pack away our school supplies.

Back in elementary school, I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up because I loved drawing on the chalkboard. Fast forward (many, many) years later, and the obsession is still ever so present. There’s just something about the chalkboard that brings back so many memories! So in today’s post, we’re dedicating it to chalkboard themed ideas that are perfect for back to school!

We know what you all are wondering: “Beach teddy?!” Isn’t it beach bunny??” Well, these treats are made with yummy teddy crackers and gummies, made to look like they’re lounging on a beach! Keep reading to get inspired to make your own before the end of summer!

Ingredients & Supplies (inspired by images above!)

  • blue jello mix + water
  • whipped cream
  • graham crackers crumbs
  • plastic clear cup

Decorative

  • teddy bear crackers or gummy bears
  • peppermint swirl candies
  • candy roll up
  • gummy rings
  • paper umbrella

Prepare the blue jello mix as instructed on the box. Let mixture cool slightly before filling into 2/3 of the clear cup. Refrigerate until solid. Put a dollop of whipped cream on top, and sprinkle on a thick layer of graham cracker crumbs to one side for the beach scene.

Here comes the fun part–decorating the beach scene! Here are some ideas to try:

  • Put a teddy in a gummy ring for a floating teddy in the water
  • Use an inch of candy roll up for a teddy lounging on the beach under an umbrella
  • Peppermint swirl candies make perfect beach balls for playful beach teddies

The teddy beach party in a cup is perfect for end of summer parties by the beach and pool, or just a beach themed party anytime of the year! Prepare the cup ahead of time and let your guests decorate their own beach teddy scene. If you make some, share with us your creations below!

Apple Themed Back to School Snack Ideas

We love our themed posts, especially for back to school because they’re reminiscent of our younger days (check out our previous post on Pencil Themed Back to School Snack Ideas)! One theme we couldn’t wait to blog about for BTS is apples.  It used to be tradition to bring an apple on the first day of school for the teacher. That soon evolved to other back to school gifts, but apples always made an appearance in the classroom.

In today’s post, we’re going to bring back the BTS apple idea, but with a twist! Instead of real apples, we’re going to share some fun apple themed food ideas for back to school, perfect for students and teachers!
