Spring Mantle Decorating Ideas

The mantle is the focal point of many homes. It  is usually found in the living or dining room, where families and friends gather during parties and get togethers. We fill our mantles with pictures of our loved ones and decorate it for different holidays.

Since the next holiday isn’t for a while, we’re seeing a lot more spring inspired mantles popping up on various blogs. While many are full of pretty pastels, we’re also seeing ones with bright shades of colors. Here are a few of our favorites!

Via HGTV

We’re loving the contrast of white and brown together in this mantle from HGTV. Bring in a few blooms and put them in a little pitchers for a lovely, rustic look.

Via DIY Show Off

Loving the “spring” banner from this DIY Show Off mantle.

Via The Inspired Room

This idea from the Inspired Room is not just great for spring, but for all year long. Collect all  your favorite items and display them on your mantle for a great conversation piece during parties and get togethers.

Via Lemon Tree Dwelling

We love this mantle from Lemon Tree Dwelling because of fun pop of green.

Via Domestically Speaking

Another great accent color is  bright teal, like this mantel from Domestically Speaking. They even reused/upcycled some egg accents from Easter.

For those of you who don’t know what macarons are, here is a little information about them. Chic Holiday Sweaters for Winter

What is one thing that is on everyone’s Christmas list for the holidays? Cozy holiday sweaters! Holiday sweaters are preferred over regular sweaters for the holiday season, so grab your own before they’re all gone!

I’m sure many of you know that there is a very fine line for a holiday sweater to go from cozy to ugly. We’re going to show you some options that are definitely gorgeous and chic! Now, you have no more excuse to sport an ugly Christmas sweater for the holidays (unless you want to)!

From Focus on Style/Asos

From Details

From Pinmarklet/Free People

From Fashion Indie/Asos

These sweaters can easily be paired with slim fit bottom (skinny jeans or leggings) to complete the holiday look. Find a longer fit (shorter sweaters can make you look frumpy). Don’t be afraid of color during the holidays, and add a jacket if you’re going outdoors.

Will you be sporting a holiday sweater this winter? Let us know in the comments below! If you have any pictures, be sure to share it with us too! We love holiday sweaters, and can’t wait to keep wearing them all through December and January!

Unusual Christmas Tree Toppers

Many families top their Christmas tree with a star or angel. This tradition comes from way back, where the star represents the Star of Bethlehem, and the angel is from the Nativity story. However, many people are stepping away from this age old tradition to start their own. We now see Christmas trees topped with everything under the sun!

In today’s blog post, we’re going to share with you some unusual Christmas tree toppers that we’ve come across on the internet. Get inspired or just admire!

From Hand Made Spark

A zebra cupcake is perfect atop a pink Christmas tree!

From Green Tea Designs

Beautiful peacock feathers are something we don’t see on on Christmas trees often, but looks elegant and festive.

From Sundance Catalogue

This dove is perfect for a rustic Christmas tree!

From Use

A Santa hat also makes a great tree topper!

From Pixtal Peep

A snowflake-like star is perfect for a winter wonderland themed Christmas tree!

What will you be topping your Christmas tree with this year? Share with us in the comments below! Whether you are choosing a star, and angel, or a spunky cupcake, we want to see it!
