3 Cinco de Mayo Piñata Themed Treats

Cinco de Mayo is observed every year on May 5th. It is a popular holiday here in the United States, celebrating the Mexican heritage. Festivities include music, dancing, foods, and hitting of the piñata.

Piñatas were traditionally made of clay pots, but soon evolved into paper mache due to safety reasons. They are usually filled with candies and other sweets, but if you’re unlucky, you will find yourself under one filled with flour or water! They come in all shapes and sizes, from traditional donkey shapes, to new cartoon characters.

In today’s post, we’re going to share with you three fun foods, inspired by the colorful piñatas!
