3 St. Patrick’s Day Foods to Serve

St. Patrick’s Day is a holiday celebrated in Ireland to commemorate the patron saint of Ireland, Saint Patrick. This holiday is now recognized in other countries as well, such as in the United States, Australia, Canada, and many more.

On St. Patrick’s Day, people wear green and celebrate the holiday with lots of food and music. Keep reading for 3 foods to serve on St. Patrick’s Day!

Corned beef and cabbage is one of the most popular dishes served on St. Patrick’s Day here in the United States. It was popularized by Irish-Americans in the late 19th century.

Irish soda bread is another popular food. An X is usually cut into the top of the dough for it to expand. This particular one is garnished with raisins.

This yummy looking dish is colcannon. It is an Irish and Scottish dish of mashed potatoes and cabbage/kale.  It is often served with Irish bacon or ham.
