Fall Turkey Craft Projects – Foam Cup Turkey

Turkey is synonymous with November. You can’t be reminded of Thanksgiving and Fall without thinking of a turkey! Turkeys are the animal mascot of the colder months. Since they’re wild animals and we can’t have them roaming around the streets, what’s a good way to bring a little turkey cheer into our home? Turkey crafts!

Today’s turkey craft project will be creating a foam cup turkey!

  • foam cup (or paper cup)
  • construction paper
  • scissors
  • paints
  • paintbrush
  • pompom balls (orange, red, or yellow)
  • googly sticker eyes
  • glue

For the body of the turkey, paint the cup with a brown paint. Cut feet shaped triangles from orange construction paper and glue onto the opening of the cup.

For the head, cut a small triangle shape for the beak and a heart shape for the gobbler. Glue those two onto the face and stick on the googly eyes. Glue the head onto the bottom of the cup.

For the tail feathers, cut a maple leaf shape out of a piece of the construction paper (or a hand outline). With orange, yellow, red, and brown paints, paint a design or pattern onto the paper. Glue the tail feather on the back of the cup.

This craft project is great for children! It’s easy to recreate and does not have hard instructions. The supplies can easily be found around the house!

More turkey craft projects will be coming your way soon. Stay tuned for more!
